exclusion of Shahar Peer from tennis tournament in Dubai

I read with great dismay that Shahar Peer, an Israeli woman tennis player, was barred from playing in a WTA tournament in Dubai, because of her nationality. Although many WTA players expressed sym-pathy for Peer, none, other than possibly Amelie Mauresmo, whose reason for withdrawing from the tournament was unclear to me, refused to support their colleague by not playing in it. Especially disappointing was the participation of the Williams sisters, who are usually willing to withdraw at the drop of a hat.

As much as I would like to disagree with you (lol), I can't. All the players should have boycotted and it should have been led by the biggest named stars like the Williams sisters.
