Blake Griffin: College Basketball's Palyer of the Year?

Blake Griffin is an assassin on the basketball court, but is he better than Stephen Curry? Curry is the best scorer, the best shooter, and according to Bob Knight, the nation's best passer. He is also a very good defender, very clutch, and is often double teamed because he has little help at Davidson. Griffin will win because he plays for one of the country's best teams and Curry does not. I am not convinced this is correct, after all, it is a Player of the Year award and not an MVP award.

I'm really starting to lean towards Thabeet now, when you're only playing around 30-34 games missing 2-4 is a huge chunk. Its just rough giving a player an award like that when they're missing 10-15% of the season. Its just upsetting that player of the year seems to be a correlation to scoring. Thabeet is a solid player even without the points, look at how scared most players are to come in the paint. He is a dominant force on the often forgotten defensive end.

Very strange injury for Griffin...

Concussions are always tough, and it's looking like Blake's is going to keep him out a few games. Oklahoma should focus on him getting completely healthy, and ready for the Tourney.

As for Player of the Year, Thabeet would be hard to argue with.

Theres no discussion of Tyler Hansbrough? How soon we all forget that this is the BEST PLAYER IN COLLEGE BASKETBALL for the past three years. He IS a winner, and he WILL lead the Tar Heels to the National Championship because he is a senior and at the top of his game.
